WoW Mage Guide
Hey there, MikemanX here,
Are you out on the net looking for a WoW Mage Guide that can help you level a mage a lot faster? Are you having trouble finding a good one due to all the conflicting advice? I know that was one of my problems, there were so many people saying so many different things about how to level a mage that it was hard to figure out what the best way was. After a lot of trial and error though I did eventually find the optimal mage leveling build which I will be sharing with you below, it will make reaching level 80 easier on you..

Now one of the things that I realized was that when it comes to a mage leveling spec, the best one to go with is a frost mage build. Here’s one perfect for leveling (18/0/53):
Frost Mage Talents
Frostbite 3/3
Improved Frostbolt 5/5
Ice Floes 3/3
Ice Shards 3/3
Precision 1/3
Piercing Ice 3/3
Icy Veins 1/1
Arctic Reach 2/2
Frost Channeling 3/3
Shatter 3/3
Cold Snap 1/1
Cold As Ice 2/2
Ice Barrier 1/1
Arctic Winds 5/5
Empowered Frostbolt 2/2
Fingers Of Frost 2/2
Brain Freeze 3/3
Summon Water Elemental 1/1
Enduring Winter 3/3
Chilled To The Bone 5/5
Deep Freeze 1/1
Arcane Mage Talents
Arcane Subtlety 2/2
Arcane Focus 3/3
Arcane Concentration 5/5
Spell Impact 3/3
Student Of The Mind 2/3
Torment The Weak 3/3
Now that you’ve got that info down, the next thing you need to know is how to handle your spell rotations through the various levels. Follow the following info depending on your level:
Levels 1-40
-Cast Frostbolt until the enemy comes within melee range
-Cast Cone of Cold when the enemy is in melee range
-Wand your enemy to death
Levels 41-60
-Cast Ice Barrier & Summon your Water Elemental then have him attack
-Cast Frostbolt until the enemy comes within melee range
-Cast Ice Nova when the enemy is in melee range
-Finish off with Frostbolt
Levels 61-80
-Same as above, except use Cone of Cold instead of Ice Nova and Finish with Ice Lance
Now after having collected all this info, I went ahead and started leveling my OWN mage…things were going ok until about level 15 though, that’s when I noticed something was off…
I was leveling WAY too slow!
I couldn’t understand it. Here I spent all these hours finding the best WoW Mage Guide and following it but I wasn’t seeing the results I expected. So I went and spoke with a fellow guild mate who is really into power leveling to find out what was wrong. One thing he said was that when he power leveled, he got this WoW Mage Guide called the Team iDemise Leveling Guide, he mentioned that if you’re serious about leveling fast, you can’t make due with just basic info which was apparently what I was using, lol…so I looked into it.

I half expected just a regular book to follow, but when looking into this WoW Mage Guide I realized it was actually an in-game add-on. This is why it was so much more effective. What it does is place a large green arrow in front of your character which points you in the direction of where you need to go to pick up the next quest, achieve the quest objectives, or when and where to cash in the quest. By following the arrow you are automatically leveling at the optimal rate.
You also see this written dialogue box which shows you in writing what to do next, for example you might see:
Kill 10 Spore Harvesters in the Borean Tundra for “Vermin Extermination” at (22,73)
Obtain 5 Tempest Motes from Enraged Tempests for “Motes of the Enraged” at (42,44)
Turn in the “Vermin Extermination” Quest to Scout Tungok
Now even though this helped me level quite a bit faster, it was not perfect, here’s what I took issue with:
CONS:
- They at one time had this guide not only in-game but in HTML format which I found useful. For some reason though they got rid of the HTML version.
- They need to have more videos showing how to do the hardest quests in the game, as well as more class specific leveling info.
As for the good points…
PROS:
- You have a Map Mod in here as well which when you load your mini-map, shows you visually what you are to do next. You can use this effectively with the written dialogue box to figure out where to go next.
- You also get the giant green arrow to follow which lets you level without thinking much at all.
- It’s not a cheat or a hack so you won’t get in trouble with Blizzard.
- There’s access to unlimited software updates as well as a members only forum.
- You can not only use this as a WoW Mage Guide but for any class.
- You get a 60 day money back guarantee.
Final Words:
After implementing this guide for several of my characters with success, if you’re still struggling to level at a decent rate or just want to avoid the frustration and boredom of the usual leveling, this is worth checking out.
I’ve used this on several characters now and each time I was able to get to level 80 between 7 and 10 in-game days. One of the cool things about leveling fast is you get to check out all the classes and understand the game a lot better.
